Photoshoots are a great passion of mine, I love how creative I can be within a photoshoot and really use the time to explore and experiment. This summer I really wanted to do a Bridal styled shoot, so after mood boarding a bit and getting the most wonderful photographer on board we managed to collaboratively come up with the most amazing images and I'm so excited that I can now share with you all.
It was such great fun planning this beautiful shoot, choosing the location, theme and dress got me so excited to plan my own wedding one day! Although we are sadly now at the end of the summer; I really wanted to do an out door boho summer theme. We are incredibly lucky in Hampshire to have a beautiful countryside and after all this gorgeous weather we had this summer I was inspired to use the natural beauty that surrounds us; our environment. Also for those brides- to -be who have been proposed to this year and wanting to get married next summer, this is a bit of inspiration to help start get your planning underway!
Massive thank you to Karen From Karen Dornellie for supplying this exquisite two piece dress. The skirt is just so stunning, the way it falls is so beautiful. Everything about her work is elegant. I opted for an off the shoulder lace top which really bought that romantic boho vibe I wanted to achieve. The dress was stunning and Karen was so so lovely and helpful so I would really recommend giving The Karen Dornellie studio a visit, I love the concept of of having separates as It allows a bride to have a some control of the design of their dress.
I was approached by the amazing Emily from Letters from Emily about stationary; her gorgeous work had me so inspired and she has so many beautiful themes of stationary for weddings. Whatever style your wedding is there is definitely a theme for you! A personal favourite of mine, which I believe is her newest collection is a celestial wedding collection, is so beautiful so definitely go check her work out! For this shoot, I went for the Greenery collection, Emily offered to do some colour changes so it matched perfectly with the theme; they just turned out so so beautiful so a massive thank you to Emily and Caitlin for creating these beautiful images! When it came to the day of shooting, both Caitlin and I were so nervous about the weather, it had been a very dull day and all we wanted was to capture the sun going down so the photos had element of goldenness to them. I was so ecstatic with the results! Caitlin isn't just a snap and go type of photographer, she's an artist. She evaluated the lighting and really helped create the beautiful images, you could really tell that photography is an art to her, its a form of creativity and her passion really does reflect in the images she helped create.
When it came to the makeup and hair, my main objective was to enhance my models natural beauty! Like any of of my bridal clients, I want to make them feel confident and feel beautiful. Clair has the most amazing skin so I kept light with base makeup, really just concentrating on giving a healthy glow. This helps keeps brides looking fresh faced all day long. Clair's eyes are gorgeous so I wanted to enhance them and went for a natural rich brown with a clear shimmer that reflected every time the light caught it. Keeping in line with the Natural Boho look, we created beautiful loose curls and added flowers .
